What to have ready

  • The town, and roughly when the roof was last replaced.
  • What you are seeing: a ceiling stain, granules in the eavestrough, shingles on the lawn, ice at the eave.
  • Whether this is going through insurance, and the date of the storm if so.
  • Photographs from the ground of the elevation you think is affected.
  • Whether the attic is finished, and whether there is a bathroom fan vented into it.
